A todos nos gusta que nos cuenten cuentos. Es una forma entretenida y agradable de aceptar la realidad. Parece que duele menos. La niña parece entregarse al ritual de la mentira con cierto gesto de incredulidad ante la mirada casi amenazante de los que ya pasaron por el trance. Podría decirse que este ejemplo conspiranoico universal puede tener los días contados con todo el conocimiento humano al alcance del bolsillo, pero lo del autoengaño viene de antes, desde hace mas de 2000 años y parece no tener fin. Da igual que sea mentira si está bien contado.

We all like to be told stories. It is an entertaining and pleasant way of accepting reality. It seems that it hurts less. The girl seems to surrender to the ritual of the lie with a certain gesture of disbelief at the almost threatening look of those who have already gone through the trance. It could be said that this universal conspiranoic example can have the days counted with all the human knowledge within reach of the pocket, but the self-deception comes from before, for more than 2000 years and it seems to have no end. It does not matter if it’s a lie if it’s well told.
